So I am a new owner of a 1966 220 Wagon Graphite Gray, runs but needs some work. One issues it the rear axle appears to be leaking around the cover plate. Looking stuff up online and from books, it has being taking all sorts of things off the axle to replace the gasket that goes there. Can I just drain the rear axle, remove the cover and place the gasket without doing all the other stuff?
