Sunroof Problem on 1980 240 200 1980

Greetings. I hope you can point me at what to do about the sunroof on my wife's 1980 244. It has always worked quite well and given her lots of enjoyment. But we both notice that recently it does not appear to close fully as shown in the photos linked below. These were taken with the sunroof cranked fully closed. I have removed the crank and tightened the screws which hold the cranking mechanism in place (I have always had to do this several times per year). I have lubed the track and any pivot points I can find when the sunroof is open. But still it does not want to close all the way - particularly on the driver's side. I am afraid that this will leak water when our Seattle rains return (which they always seem to do). Any ideas on what is happening and tips on how to fix it? Thanks!
