Fuel Tank 444-544

Hello again

The PV's fuel tank has a dent at the top where the sender is attached(no problem with the sender though)but the fuel gauge is empty when the needle is at the upper end of the white reserve on the fuel gauge.

If I was to take out the gauge from the fuel tank and then bend the kinked wire further so it hangs down higher in the fuel tank, will the characteristics of the fuel gauge be linear or will it alter the way it reads and sends the information to the fuel gauge.

I hope you understand what I mean.

Thanks

Sunil
