Volvo 245 DL Parking Light Problem 200 1980

Hello All: I have a 1980 245 DL Wagon. Lately my head light switch crapped out one nite while shopping. That was a real experience getting home with no head lights; at least half way. I had to replace the head light switch with a 5 prong switch. The original switch had 3 prongs. After I replaced the switch, I noticed that my cars parking lights did not work. I checked that I had the right wires connected to the correct prongs on the back of the switch 56, 30 and 15. I know the parking lights worked prior to the switch failure and I also checked both parking light bulbs; they are fine. Any ideas
