Stromberg non-adjustable conversion to adjustable 140-160 1969

AFAIK, there is no such thing as a non adjustable Stromberg carburetor and in fact the plug on the bottom of the float bowl is there so the tool to adjust the jet tube assembly can be installed.

So you do need some special tools to properly adjust the fuel mixture on Strombergs and not just the needle adjusting tool. As I mentioned, there is a special tool for moving the jet tube assembly up and down.

See if you can find a shop that specializes in old British cars and ask if they have the special tools and if they are willing to work on your Volvo.

We do have the special tools, but I don't think you want to drive to California to come to our shop.
