No Start 240 200

Have 1991 240 sedan that would not stay running and would cut off at rasndom. Replaced air mass meter with a used one from the boneyard and car started up and ran fine. A couple of days later no start even with thair mass meter unplugged. Replaced the fuel pump relay with a boneyard pick. Car started right up with a slight sputter on a couple of tries. After that, no start and seeemed like the battery was dead or dying. Any help on where I might start checking would be greatly appreciated.
