Last year I had a real problem with the 544 wandering at highway speeds.Problem solved by changing the caster. I changed the caster to one turn positive, you must turn the eccentric nut one full turn or the camber will also change.
I had the wheel alignment done by a reputable mechanic who works on classic domestic and foreign cars. I complained of the car wandering and he told me he set it to the recomended specifications and could not fix the problem. I had experimented with air pressure and toe in and out and no change. Taked to Lester at Sweedish Car Specialists and said without a doubt positive caster. I'm so happy with the results and just would like to share the results.
