Are OE Volvo Brake Pads Still Good? 200

I just used up the last of my REAL Volvo brake pads, the ones made in Germany, and I need to order some more to have on hand.

I always considered the OE Volvo pads to be the gold standard. Sure they dirtied the hubcaps, but they always quietly did what they were supposed to do without eating up the rotors.

The last I heard, Volvo 240 brake pads were being made in India, so I hesitate to use them. I don't have anything against India, it's just in my experience, there always seems to be something inferior about Indian products.

So, are the current brake pad offerings from Volvo as good as they always have been? Or, is there a better pad to use? I am not looking for braking Nivarna, just pads which work acceptably well without eating up the rotors.

Thanks, one and all,
