Overdrive problems 700

Hi,

1988 745 turbo with m46 transmission (4 speed with overdrive).

Problem I have is after cruising at 60 to 70 mph for 10 minutes or more the overdrive will not disengage. Overdrive light will go out in the dash but the trans is still in overdrive. I then have to restart the car to get it out of OD. After doing this overdrive will come in and out just fine if I stay below 50 or so. Same thing before going highway speeds. Also sometimes doesn't happen at all but mostly it does malfunction.

I tried to resolder my relay but did not help then bought a new one but also did not help.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated,
