75 164E issue 140-160

I'm totally new to 164 series cars...I have a 240 and a 740 but I recently ran across a pristine 1975 164E form an older gent who is ready to sell it...basically original owners....was handed down from his mother who was the original owner.

My question is about the running issue he described to me: It runs good but for some reason it will only run for a minute and a half or two minutes and then die.

Anybody have clues to this condition? Fuel pump perhaps? Or since this car has the very early Bosch injection system could it be a bug in that system?

Not a lot of info I know and for that I apologize but I'd really likie to own this car but I'm just curious about its running problem.
