1994 940 memory power driver seat 900

The drivers power seat on our 1994 940 recently stopped functioning in the forward and reverse mode, all other functions worked ok. The motor would cause the cable housings to move when switch was activated. Upon inspection I found one side of the seat track was about 1 1/2 inches ahead of the other side, I figured that was putting the seat track in a bind. At that point I had not found the similar problem on the FAQ seat section. My approach was to remove the mounting bracket from the side with only one cable, remove the cable and housing from the motor end and spin the cable manually with a crescent wrench till the tracks were even on both sides. I then reinserted the cable and reinstalled the mounting bracket. At that point I had lost all functions, except for raising the seat which was already all the way up. I still have battery and ign. power to the plug and ground on the black wire, I checked all connections at the switch, seat memory computer, and motors all seem secure. Any ideas?
