I've been having an issue for a while and wanted to trouble shoot before coming for suggestions- I have a surging idle- usually between 500 and 1500 - sometimes dipping to almost stall and surging to 1500, sometimes running smoothly ~900 with no surge- does not seem to matter how long or short the drive, or the temperature. I sprayed some engine starter around my intake hoses- and saw no surge that would suggest a leak, I have noticed that the condition changes if I wiggle my distributor/cap. Tonight for example, I started it, idled perfectly, then started surging - almost bucking based on the interval- went for a drive, and the car stalled at a stop- Where to start?
