greetings all-
been having a recent stall issue with my '93 240. The car cranks up in the a.m. just fine every morning but I've noticed a few times now that after I drive the car for awhile (at least 10 min. or so and engine is almost fully warmed up) and then if I make a quick stop and jump back in the car 30 sec - 1 minute later that car won't crank. Engine turns over just won't start up. Doesn't seem to ever do this if I'm starting the engine from cold start only when engine is turned off for just a short while and I try to restart. What I've done is give it a few minutes and then I have been able to coax it back to starting. (It kinda reminds me of back when I had a carbuerated car when the engine would flood and not restart right away but just need a little break.)
It's only started doing this recently - like in past couple weeks and has never done it to me before. Yesterday it did the same after I sat in car idling with AC on for several minutes and then I backed out of parking space and went about 10 feet and it stalled. Tried cranking it couple times but no go and then let it sit for a minute and it started up.
Any idea what might be causing the problem? Something with fuel injectors maybe? I had new fuel tank pump put in within last year and fuel filter replaced shortly after as well. Recent tune up with new plugs in last 3-4 months too...
Thanks in advance for any advice!
