Cabin overhead handles 200

I was fascinated by the recent post suggesting that Porsche sun visor clips can be fitted in 240 wagons. I visited a local PNP this morning but would never expect to find a Porsche there and didn't. I did find several BMWs. I have a similar frustration with the cabin overhead handles that are above the passenger doors. Specifically, the fastener covers crumble into a dust. BMW 3XX handles looked to be about the same geometry as Volvo 240s and still pliable, so I snatched a set of three, black. Couldn't find any white. BMW doesn't seem to mind a white overhead and black handles contrast.

When I returned home, I replaced one Volvo white handle with a BMW black handle. I used the BMW Phillips head fasteners and they threaded right up where the hex head Volvo screws thread.

The BMW handles were pulled from both an '85 and '90. Plenty of time for them to disintegrate if they were Volvo.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
