ANSWER Very first task to start with on new to me Volvo 200 1990

Hey, this is cool, wish one of my daughters wanted to do this. First thing with any new purchase like this is fresh fluids, especially, if history is unknown. So an oil change, coolant change (check water pump for leakage), tranny flush if automatic, make sure differential is topped up or change. I'd then follow with a complete tune up (plugs, cap, rotor), wires if needed. Teh 240 is very simple and easy to work on, take your time, read the FAQ on 700/900 cars on this site as many mechanical tasks are similar. Mike
