Temp. Sending Unit 444-544

Unless someone in the past has modified your temperature gauge, that is not a wire but a tube.

The tube is supposed to be filled with ether and it is not unusual for them to fail over time.

You do not say which PV you have and the 444/445 use a different gauge than the 544/P210.

Either way as long as the operating mechanism in the gauge is not damaged, they can be rebuilt.

A new updated temperature gauge is available that fits the 544/P210 dash.
