ANSWER Is the M47 drain/fill plug seal the same size as the seal on the oil pan? 200 1991

I can tell you the Volvo part number is 11998 (11998-2 but no one lists it that way except maybe Volvo). At least that is what I used for my '89 wagon.

This is a different gasket than the engine oil pan, at least for the 240's I have owned.

In looking around for a description I find one vendor that gives only the inside diameter which is 18.3 mm.

I see others describing this as an engine oil pan plug gasket so I suppose that is true for some models.

Anyway, the complete spec seems to be 18 x 24 x 1.5 mm. Copper, of course.

If you've never removed the drain and fill plugs on your M47, you're in for a real treat.
