hard start stalls at stops first 2 miles 200 1989

89 auto with 330k miles.

just started within past week or so.

cranks and have to put foot to floor to get it started now. and once going will stall or want to stall at almost every sign/light first mile ( unless i put it in P/N) before i get on highway where it will run as usual and idle at stoplights i reach at end of 12 mile commute. it will start and idle normally at end of 7 hour work day restart.
ritual repeats next day after sitting in driveway overnight.

no codes thrown, new cps in past 2 years, new plugs last winter, 200k on rebuilt amm, new main pump 2 years ago, probably 8 years on tank pump.
as a sidenote, tranny on last legs.

any thoughts?
