If I'm not mistaken, there should be a small (wire) snap ring on the outer edge of the pilot bearing that you must remove before pulling the bearing out.
It should slide out after this ring is removed.


That's from my memory because it's been a long, long time since I've removed or replaced a pilot bearing on a Red Block....I hope it's close to right.
