Tires on the rear wear out fast? -interesting claim on Youtube video 200 1992

I occasionally surf YouTube to see the latest 240 videos, usually of Swedes turboing and drifting, or alternatively destroying our beloved brand. But today I stumbled on a DIY video from the UK, claiming "240's have a few problems, one is that the rear tires wear out excessively, quicker than a race car on a Sunday afternoon"... I was perplexed. After having had 4 240's (2 sedans and 2 wagons). I must say I have never had this problem! Anyone else had rear tires wear at an excessive rate, or is this mechanic the unwitting recepient of a son who likes to drift?
