88 240 Will Only Start with Gas Floored and Then Dies

Hello folks! My '88 240 Wagon (5 Speed!) with 300k has been sitting at my mom's house in NJ for about six years. She always started and ran fine when I came home once every two months to visit but this time as she was idling, she cut out and refused to start. She will only catch and try to start if I floor the gas pedal but she will quickly shut down. She's got air, fuel, and spark and a good fuel injection relay. I pulled the throttle body and found fuel puddled in there. I replaced the fuel press regulator as it was leaking and there was fuel puddling in the intake but she still won't start. I'm thinking that perhaps it's a clogged cat. Anyone have any experience with a cat that sounds like this? I sprayed the bolts with penetrating oil and am letting it soak so I can pull it. In the meantime, any other recommendations. I have to leave in a couple of hours so I'm trying to make max use of my time without rushing. Thx! Rob
