re-keying locks? 700 1988

SUCCESS!!!

Since the drivers side door lock has never worked since I became the second owner of the car, and being tired of having to reach over from the passengers side to unlock the car, I five right in.
everything went quite smoothly until I got stuck trying to figure out how to take the cylinder out of the lock body. But once it dawned on me the facia ring needed to be pried off, I was back in business. The broken "pins" quite literally fell out in my hand when I pulled everything apart.
I fitted it all back together with little bother and now any flat-cut style key will work!

I snapped pictures along the way and I will post them later..

Next step is to do the passengers side.
Then it is on to the rear hatch.
