Brake Lights

My 240 SW brake lights won't come on. I've checked the brake light switch and I have continuity through it(what a pain to get to). Checked all bulbs and have continuity through them too. Fuses are good. Ground at passenger side taillights is good. Could it be related to the wiring harnesses running through the hatch door? The third light and rear windshield wiper is not working and most of the wires are broken. I will hate replacing these harnesses if that is not the problem. I've done it twice and it is a pain too. thanks for any advice.
