122s runs great and terrible with zenith stromberg 120-130

Can't figure this one out. I have a newly rebuilt zenith stromberg single carb on a 1966 122s and can not get it running properly. Hard part is one day it runs and idles perfectly, and next day it will barely run at all. Even hour to hour it could run like a clock and next minute, runs very badly. Points are new, plugs are good. timing is correct. At a loss...Any help or ideas?
