1983 242 Reverse does not work when COLD 200 1983

I have a 1983 242 Turbo. The reverse does not work until the unit is HOT. The Drive works fine in all gears when cold except Reverse. The transmission shifts great under pressure and no slippage.
* When the Reverse does start working when warm/hot it does seem to shift very hard into reverse. I suspect that is the drive shaft Rubber joint OR possibly the transmission mount.
* Reverse lights also do not work and are under the list of issues I am dealing with on this car for the time being.
* Also had an alternator/charging issue. Replaced alternator, battery, accessory mounts and belts. (AC belt removal was confusing and not well shown) It came down to a problem with a GROUND at back of engine on valve cover.

Valve cover leaks at each nut connection. No washers on any and put some spares on. Hopefully will fix this.
