Windscreen wiper switch 140-160

Hi,

I want to wire a second switch for the 144 rally car so the navigator can operate the wipers if the driver is otherwise occupied. I've had a look at how the switch operates and can't work out how to duplicate it. The problem is to do with the parking circuit - just putting power to one of the 2speed feed wires with the main switch turned off just blows fuses. If the main switch is disconnected and I put power to a feed wire, it's ok, but doesn't self park.

Any ideas?
