seat motor S90-V90 1997

Greetings;

I have a 1997 s90 with memory power seats. I have corrected the problem of the cocked seat by cutting the sheathing on the center motor cable and have read all the posts on this and other boards regarding seats but have not found an answer to this problem: The seat moves foward slowly about half way and back as well, slowly. Very slowly compared to the upward motion of the front part of the seat. There is no upward motion to the rear part of he seat. The seat back works well. I have removed the switch and cleaned the contacts with no improvement.

My questions are what would make a motor run slowly? Could it be the switch?

I would appreciate any help with this problem.
