Thumbs Up for Stanley Tools

According to Wikipedia, "In May 2002, the company [Stanley] considered moving its corporate headquarters to Bermuda, but public and governmental outcry forced management to reconsider the move. By August 2002, the company had decided to maintain its incorporation in the United States."

But where are your Stanley tools made? America or China? I actually have a Stanley smooth plane from 50 years ago that was made in Canada (where I live).

But getting back to the topic, a couple of years ago I bought a Ridgid cordless drill kit and it came with a lifetime warranty if I registered, which I did. A month or two ago one of the batteries wouldn't charge and was replaced free. Most cordless drills are discarded because the batteries die and cost more to replace than buying a new drill.
