740 turbo rough idle when engine is cold

Its a 1992 turbo wagon, B230FT engine. All performance problems except one licked now. The engine has started idling roughly intermittently when it is warming up. For a few seconds it runs smooth, then RPM will drop almost to stall, and it seems to be missing badly. The vacuum wanders a couple of inches, but fuel press. stays the same, 34 psi. When idling steady, the vac is 17 inches. Is it maybe an issue with the IAC valve? The lines going to it look OK. After warm-up period and revving the engine up a little, then the idle becomes normal. thanks, Jim
