Denso alternator - test/replace voltage regulator ? 900 1993

Bruce,

I'm having the same problems as Schumi. I put the voltmeter on the battery and the voltage dropped from 13.7 V at idle to 12.7 V with the AC fan on high. Moreover, it stayed at 12.7 V as long as the fan stayed on.

Is this a voltage regulator problem? Brush problem? Diode problem? Field coil winding problem?

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
