indicator switch and heater tap 120-130 1967

Hello all,
My indicator switch will not stay on turning right.
Turning left is ok.
The slightest pressure ( almost a strong breeze!! ) cancels the switch and i am sick of trying to hold up the stalk up whilst turning. So, does anyone have any clues as to what i should do, how to repair or who can refurbish this for me.
Sorry if this has been covered before as i cant believe i am the only one and i have been putting up with this for years. Is there an alternative?
Also my heater tap does not want to turn all the way off. Did someone say once upon a time that a 240 tap was the fix and is there an alternative for this?
Looking forward to your wisdom
Regards David
