Replacing Flame Trap/Gasket on Susan's 940. HELP! 900

Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble figuring out what to take apart when doing the flame trap change. I printed out the FAQ information, but I'm not following it very well. I was looking for Art's instructions on doing this but don't see details on his cleanflametrap.com site. Can anyone provide me with a link to very, very easy instructions for doing this repair on a 1993 Volvo 940 Regina wagon?

Also, there's a round circle with a string of wires wrapped around it. From the side of that, there's a kind of hard hose that's really thin that leads back to inside the car (to the left of the brake booster on the driver's side. I'm not sure what this hose is, but it has several cracks in it. So do some of the other hoses, although minor, I'm gathering that they should be replaced.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Susan
