PNP Volvo 240 supply 200

I had an enlightened discussion with the local LKQ site manager. He was at the counter training a new checkout clerk when I happened through the way out with some items. I commented on my observation of so few older Volvos (240/7xx) of late. His first response "hit me below the belt". He told me only old people drive them! So am I, so what. He went on to explain. He fills his lot with cars that will move parts. Each car has to "pay their rent" for taking up a space. So, he acquires cars that will do just that and old Volvos don't. So I asked if he sees old Volvos when he is out buying cars. He said yes. I asked if he buys them and he said yes. Most he buys to CRUSH! A few he may buy and bring to his PNP for part sales.

I told him that I felt insulted, and since he insulted me for being old (all the time smiling and chuckling with him), I asked if he gave a senior discount and that this consideration might make me feel better. No senior discounts, but he did assist the clerk-in-training how to give me breaks on charging the parts.

Thought you all would like to know about this.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
