Volvo 240 Battery Drain and Stalling 200

Looking for some wisdom.

My 1991 volvo 240 250k Mile started giving me some problems this week.

Drove with no issues for two years and then I had it idling in my drive way for roughly 10 minutes. Started up no problem but when I went to drive away it stumbled hard and with in a half a mile I had to stop for a red light and it died.

I recived as jump as the battery appeared to dead. I would say running if hooked to another car but would stumble and die once disconnected.

I purchased a new battery.

Car started right up with no issues at all. Drove it for roughly 20 mile / 2 days. then on the third day I had it idling in my drive way for roughly 10 minutes again. When I came out to drive away it was idling rough. As I went to drive out of my drive way it stumbled and died.

Head lights extremely dim. Radio shut of. Starter wont crank.

I suspect the Alternator but I thought I would come here to ask the experts? Any tip or trick you can offer.
