oxy sensors and and smog demons 200 1986

Ruby dramatically failed her Ca. smog test on the NOX, and the Co was iffy.
So I looked in the archives and found the information about, blocking the vacuum line on the ICU to correct high NOX.
I did that, and thought: Ruby still has a slight shimmy when she idles, she's running good and has very respectable gas mileage.
So I looked at the BB references about high Co for smog and the O2 sensor came up as the probable cause.
I warmed it up hooked it up to my V/ohm meter and it was showing .500MV flat. I opened the valve cover oil cap waited thirty seconds and the O2 sensor woke up and I had an appropriate range of numbers .
Ran it around the block then up and down the freeway for 15 minutes, brought it home, and the O2 sensor shows bout 300MV flat.
The car is like may be this far () from being invisible at idle,
So Do I needa new O2 sensor or are the numbers a by product of the icu being suppressed?
I would like to take it in for a retest Monday.
What do you think? Replace the O2 or not?
