question on dry cells 120-130

Are these batteries recommended for long periods of storage? My cars are not on the road from the first snow fall until I get around to taking them out in the Spring, typically sometime in April. Meanwhile each battery is connected to a separate trickle charger during the storage period. This seems to work well with my acid filled batteries.

The OPTIMA battery is evaluated in this month's Consumer Reports with the other conventional batteries. I believe it is of the dry cell type. They are about $100 more than a comparable wet cell according to the article and comparable in capacities. There isn't one either reccommended or tested, I guess, in the Group 35 class. Which dry cell, manufacturer and model etc, do you recommend specifically?
