Starting - NOT 200

Bricksters,

A couple of things - my son just picked up a really nice '84 245 in Billings, MT. I was out there this past weekend when we started having starting issues. Now, if this was a '55 TBird, I would say that the problem we are having centered on the starter solenoid. When attempting to start, there is that age old solenoid rattle. We super charged the battery, still the rattle. Checked the battery cables at the battery and the ground - rattle. I ended up having to leave to come back to South Dakota at that point, so I told him to do the positive pole to ignition post on solenoid test; tighten everything up and then try to start. Any thoughts beyond that?

Second issue: we are needing the tailgate latch - guts and outer handle. Yeah, I will be putting that in the classifieds too...

Thanks

Kent & Keir
