Windshield Fogging 200 1989

Water is condensing and fogging the far lower passenger side of the windshield in the mornings. It started as a small area and grew larger as the weather cooled.

Do you have the heat on when this happens?

If you try to wipe off the condensation with a cloth does it smear or seem oily?

If YES then it is coolant vapor and you have a heater core leak.

This morning there was vapor rolling out of the center dash vent.

If YES, then the vapor is Coolant...and you have a leak.

Could this be condensation from temperature swings? Is there a drain for an AC evaporator core box.

There is a drain, it can bee seen looking from the passenger side/remove the kick panel to that side of the console.

My experience has been that I have to run the AC to unfogg the windshield in cool damp or rainy weather, even when I run with the heat on, esp if I have passengers.

However the Vapor from the Center Vents, in your case suggests a leak in the heater core. Try the wipe test to see if the fog is greasy and hard to wipe off. Before you totally freak out on the prospect of a HeaterCore-ectomy
