Newby transmission question - 1991 240 200

I am not real mechanic but I have been having a lot of fun and success working on my new 1991 240, basic maintenance and updates.

Transmission jerks sometimes when going from reverse to drive. Paid to have new motor and trans mounts.

My question is, 2nd gear wants to rev real high (3500rpm) before changing to 3rd. 1st to 2nd seem great; 3 to 4th seems pretty good too. It cruises nice in 4th at 55mph and about 1,800 rpm. At 2nd gear and ~ 35-40mph, you just lightly let off on the gas pedal and it easly goes ahead and shifts up....its like you have to "help" it shift. It is a little like this from 3rd to 4th.

What does it mean? in condition and needed attention to transmission?

Thanks!
