speedometer/transmission glitch S90-V90 1998

Hi,

I've got a 98 V90 with 217k miles. Car will drive fine for a short while, then speedo conks out, car displays a OBD 500 error message, Tranny W and E lights flash along with transmission arrow light flash on dashboard.

Speed sensor in differential has been replaced and contacts on sensor and connector been cleaned.

This problem started after car sat for two months in Utah (dry climate). Initially the problem could be cleared by disconnecting battery, waiting a while, then reconnecting and would work fine. Now the problem is nearly constant. One time the problem manifested when car went over bumpy railroad tracks.

This is sounding to me like some flaky connection somewhere. Have cleaned and tightened all ground connections we could find. Any ideas as to where other possible intermittent connection issues could be found?

Thanks,

lampguy
