M-40 INSTALLATION PROBLEM 444-544

JUST REBUILT MY M-40 VIA THE ON LINE INFO, GOOD INFORMATION BY THE WAY.ONCE I HAD REMOVED THE NOISY GEARBOX I NOTICED THAT IT LOOKED THE SAME AS THE ONE I HAD REMOVED BUT HAD MORE RENFORCEMENT WEBBING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CASE. DIDN'T PAY THAT NO MIND UNTILL I PUT IT BACK IN MY 544 AND SAW THAT THE HOLES IN THE MOUNTING TABS DIDN'T LINE UP WITH THE HOLES IN THE BELLHOUSING. ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THE DEAL IS ON THIS AS BOTH OF THE TAGS ON THE TRANSMISSIONS SAY M-40. CAN THE GEARS BE MOVED FROM CASE TO CASE? THANKS PAUL TACOMA
