Lockup Solenoid - No Longer Available? 900 1992

I tried ordering a lockup solenoid for our 1992 960 at the dealership after searching online for one without any luck. Just a couple of minutes ago I got a call from them stating that it's no longer available.

So... any idea how to rebuild or repair one of these things? The transmission has all the usual symptoms of the solenoid going out - it fails to release while coming to a stop (it's like driving a manual with the RPM dropping until finally it releases before stalling), and I can feel it shift from 2nd to 3rd/locked-2nd-3/unlocked quickly. Behavior is worse when the transmission has warmed up.
