Clunk at front wheels when backing up 200 1982

For some reason There is sometime a clunk at the front wheels when backing up. Sometime it is the right side and other time it is the left side. Steering rack U bolts have been checked and are tight.

Ball joints seem tight on both sides and there is no particular front suspension noise when driving on rough roads.

I wonder where is the origin of that clunk. Should I look at the inner tie rod ends ? the struts mount bearings ?
