No heat on driver's side only??? 200 1993

Just bought a 93 245, and replaced the dead blower motor first thing using the "modified chainsaw" method. Air flow seems to be good now - driver's side is somewhat weaker than the passenger side, but not too much.

Did a complete coolant flush and fill this week (old stuff was in bad shape), along with a new thermostat & hoses, also removed the dead temperature gauge faker board. Everything went fine with all this stuff too.

Here's the head scratcher: with the heat on full blast, the passenger side vents are blowing air that's hot enough to toast a marshmallow, as you'd expect from a 240. The driver's side, however, is blowing barely lukewarm air, through both the far left and left center console vents. It's blowing pretty hard, but the temp is WAY lower than the other side.

Any ideas on what might be going on here? Thanks!
