Automatic transmission woes 200 1988

Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

I have a 1988 240 DL wagon with a AW70 auto trans. As I dropped my wife off at work yesterday the car began to buck a bit and then lost forward dive. Upon lower car inspection I realized that the culprit was all the ATF pouring out on the ground. I have a fair amount of automotive experience but this is my first automatic Volvo which I recently purchased. I had the car towed home and have gone as far as to drop the the trans mount bracket and lowered the trans but can't see where the fluid is pouring out from. It is running down the left, driver side of the transmission and coming from the top. It is not the over drive solenoid or the selector shaft seal. It is coming from the top out of view. The torque converter is dry and the cooler lines are not leaking. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
