Unsolicited Offers 200

I've sold ~2 cars via notes left on my windshield which included an email address. Never to anyone who opened with "I'll make you a good offer". If someone approaches me about a car I'm driving, I expect him/ her to make an offer.

When I put in an ad for 240 parts I usually say "selling parts from the car, not the car". I then get into this kind of email dialogue

- Ad-responder: How much for the car?
- Me: I'm selling parts, not the car
- A: is the car complete? How much?
- M: It's complete. But I'm selling parts.
- A: How much for what's left?
- M: You'd need to make an offer - I'm selling parts.
- Repeat ....

Some folks want them for derby cars and want to pay scrap price for a car that runs and drives. Others think that it'll be cheap if it's a "parts car".
