'85 245 won't start 200

The car has been sitting for 11 years. The fuel pumps are both clean but won't come on unless the car sits for 1/2 hr w/ the key on (ignition switch, both pumps & fuel relay work). I haven't tried to start it when that happens. I replaced the ignition computer w/ a used one (guaranteed to work but I haven't been able to prove it), all the wires to the ignition computer have continuity & the ignition coil tests ok but there's no spark. The distributor hall coil is said to never have problems (is that possible?).

What am I missing?

thanks for any suggestions
