Replacing front hubs 700

Couple years ago i renewed the front rotors and pads. With the wheels jacked up ,it was difficult to rotate the tires by hand. Nevertheless i did drive for a couple miles only to have a terrible overheat situation. My next move was to purchase new calipers which I got from rockauto quite cheaply, along with new guide pins. That seem to have helped . Occasionally i would check for the ease of rotation by hand and fortunately it got better with miles. I am due for a brake job soon and I fear it will be the same experience again.
