Bearing Repack after 1 year? 200

Hey Brickers,

Just wondering if a front wheel bearing "repack" would be necessary after my indy mechanic put in new bearings about a year ago. Took the car in for an oil change and he said they should be repacked. When I mentioned he put new ones in under a year ago, he said some older cars need them repacked after a bit... Said they should be fine after that. He said it would be a 1/2 in labour.

Sound right? Or, did he not do a good job in the first place?

Any thoughts are appreciated...
