Some naive questions after a breather box replacement 200 1991

I had a nice day yesterday. I finished up replacing the oil separator on my 240 and I got to drive a 122 for the first time. This one.

I have a few follow up questions after my repair.

1) My EGR valve has two sensor outputs on it. One on the body of the valve and one on the pipe to the intake manifold. There only appears to be a harness connector for one of them. I plugged one of them in and let the other dangle. No CEL, so I guess my question is a bit academic: What's up with the apparently extra sensor?

2) Messing with the throttle cable, I broke a plastic piece on the housing which is on the firewall side of the big red barrel adjuster. I drove the car for three hours yesterday, so again I guess my question is a bit academic: How critical is broken piece? (Obviously no super critical.) The housing seems to be in good shape otherwise. Should I replace the cable/housing/adjuster?

3) How tight should the nuts on the intake manifold be? I tightened most of them with a pretty long 13mm wrench and the rest with a long extension on a socket. I didn't yard on them; I was all arm and no body/shoulder action. Do they need to be retightened after a drive?

4) Can you tell this was my first time doing this? :)

As suggested by my third question, I chose to take the intake manifold off with the fuel lines still attached to get at the breather box. It would have been extra tight in there especially with the EGR if I had left the IM on.

The car drives great. Thanks as usual to the brickboard. The archives and the FAQ were a great help on this one.
